چکیده
Denkmalstürze und spontane Beschriftungen sind heute längst nicht mehr theologisch, sondern zivilgesellschaftlich motiviert, aus einem Heilsmonopol der einzig wahren Kirche Vernichtung falschen Lehre begründet. Gerade kirchengeschichtlicher Perspektive können wir den konfessionellen Aggressionen früherer Jahrhunderte deshalb mit wohltuender Distanz begegnen ihnen idealerweise Regeln Gesetzmäßigkeiten öffentlicher Gedächtniskulturen an Orten Tagen, in Liturgien Literaturen ableiten, also Strukturen Beanspruchung von Geschichte durch strategisches Erinnern Vergessen. Exemplarisch geht Autor solchen Strategien Martyrisierung Toten Sakralisierung nach, um Gedächtniskämpfe zwischen religiösen Konkurrenten verschiedenen Epochen erklären zu können, plädiert abschließend für christliche Buß- Versöhnungsbereitschaft zugunsten einer neuen europäischen Erinnerungskultur.
